Edinburgh has reached its beautiful Autumn season. The leaves have fallen, the weather has chilled and coats are out. As we all count down the days to Halloween, events are still taking place. Todays theme is Autumn or fall depending on where you are in the world.
This is a creative and eco-friendly theme. Depending on your location and should it not rain, an event outside would be best. Use reusable jars or cans for the centrepieces , odd sizes would be best. I would visit your local park to collect fallen twigs, leaves and acorns to use as your centrepieces. Place the twigs along the centre of the tables with the glass jars embedded with your collected leaves. Place small tea lights in candleholders and large thick candles scattered in the empty areas. Should you want to create an aromatic centrepiece spread dried oranges, cinnamon sticks and fern tree branches. Should you need linen to cover the tables, use a dark coloured linen. If the tables are wooden or glass, leave this as it is.
You do not need to be outside to ensure the full pleasure of this theme. An intimate dinner at home, your guests would love the creative detail.
Below a combination of photos that explain the theme above.
